On December 2nd, the 2019 China Internet Integrity Conference with the theme of "Gathering the Power of Integrity and Creating Credit China" was held in Xi'an, Shanxi Province. This conference was hosted by the China Federation of Internet Societies.
In recent years, the Chinese government has attached great importance to the construction of Internet integrity. Ren Xianliang, vice chairperson of the Social Construction Committee of the National People's Congress and chairman of the China Federation of Internet Societies, attended the opening ceremony of the China Internet Integrity Conference 2019 and delivered a speech.
Ren Xianliang said that China Federation of Internet Societies started to host the China Internet Integrity Conference since last year. Our aim is to adhere to social responsibilities, lead an ox by Internet integrity construction as the halter, and promote Internet companies to regard law and integrity as the foundation of their lives and to strengthen their self-regulation in the Internet industry, encourage them to create an honest and trustworthy, clean and upright cyberspace, and make honesty truly a passport on the Internet.
At the meeting, the top ten news of China's Internet Integrity in 2019 were released. CFIS and representatives from 31 Internet companies such as Alibaba, Tencent, and JD jointly launched a credit mechanism for cooperation in the field of digital economy, and jointly issued the Xi'an Initiative. 16 Central news websites and mainstream business websites signed the "Commitment to Combating Online Rumors", promising to consciously accept supervision from all walks of life to jointly create a clean and healthy Cyberspace. The leaders of Wu Mart Group, Alibaba Group, and PINGAN Group made the theme Speech.
There were also three parallel sub-forums, where guests exchanged and discussed around "e-commerce integrity construction", "integrity construction of network media and social platform", and "urban credit construction system under the Internet-plus model".
The China Internet Integrity Conference is an annual event for the construction of China's network integrity. It aims to strive to create a good atmosphere for everyone to provide suggestions and participate in the construction of network integrity, create an honest and trustworthy cyberspace environment, and help to promote Modernizing China’s governance system and capacity for governance. More than 500 people such as leaders of relevant ministries and commissions, representatives of the central news media, representatives of major commercial websites, representatives of companies in e-commerce, online social platforms and other fields, as well as representatives of some online social organizations, universities, and scientific research institutions attended the meeting.
